Meet Morrie!
This year’s Bigger Partick Picnic had an important key feature…
The event was delivered alongside an EveryStage youth employability programme. Participants had the opportunity to interview for a paid placement at the Bigger Partick Picnic.
Morrie was the participant selected for the placement, working closely with the EveryStage Team, Partick Housing Association Ltd. and Partick Community Council, to deliver this unforgettable event. She developed real-life events management experience, including volunteer coordination, risk assessment, artist liaison and she even took to the stage and performed herself on the day!
Opportunities like this help to develop a range of transferrable skills and open doors to the events industry. Morrie worked alongside events professionals, building skills, confidence and hands-on experience which provide a pathway to future opportunities.
